A bunch of people for dinner here on Christmas; here are some photos from the day. The whole season is a bit of a challenge to my social skills. At least here are some fun new flavors of solstice time celebrations including HumanLight and The Ten Days of Newton
I keep watching for local evidence of the recession. Maine doesn't have any big manufacturing anymore, and Maine banks never did sub-prime mortgages. Actually Maine is always in a permanent mild recession, no bubbles or busts, and people are used to making do with less.
