| ![]() I drove to Friendship on Thursday after work to visit with old friend Jean Carr. Friendship is a small fishing town at the end of a penisula. Those penisula towns are so quiet; they're not on the way to anywhere. Jean and her daughter Celia came to Unity the following night and we played in kayaks. Terry joined us. Jean and Terry went to the same high school in Virginia. Summer supper at the lake after playing in the water. Good stuff. Yesterday afternoon we went to Bangor to check out the National Folk Festival. Major traffic problems and other organizational snafus. We need to haul Susan Pierce down to JazzFest and let her see how some things can be done. Next year I hope to get to the Newport Folk Festival. Here's current reading. Thanks, Marge, for Coincidences. Bob Curry loaned me Secrets and Lies.
