Here are some photos of our Common Ground family, the folks who have stayed with us on the fair weekend for the past four years. Everyone arrives on Thursday night. We don't even have to tell them what room they are in. Then we go to the fair all day and party each night for three days. If Melissa is wearing the apron it's breakfast. If Jennifer has the apron, it's party food time.
Some things I want to remember about this year:
Camden's contest for naming his new rabbit (Toffee) (He didn't go for Grace Slick).
Apple Leek Goat Cheese Quiche and the pile of leeks in the pantry.
     Dark and Stormys
     Tatoos
This year I enjoyed the Fair and the company more than ever. Like many people, I found the simple pleasures more dear after September 11. On Sunday afternoon I peaked, took the train ride back to town (3 miles), walked the mile from Unity Station to the Heron, and had the end-of-the-fair nap.
