March is full of highs and lows and the stale end of winter. At least there's is a lot of sunlight by which to look at the shrinking snowpack and the frozen lake.
On Maine Maple Sunday we went to three sugar shacks in our area, two with wood fired boilers. A maple syrup operation usually sits at the bottom of a hill with the sugar bush on the slope of the hill. The trees are tapped and drip into tubes and gravity gets it all down to the shack. It's like adding plumbing to nature.
I've been playing the convergence game. What can I get my phone to do instead of using some other gadget.
I'm tempted by this one because it takes 4 remotes to run our tv/stereo and we've lost one. And while I'm enjoying the things I can get the blackberry to do (music, radio) I hope to skip over hybrid cars and keep my 2000 Forester until plug-in electric cars are available. This guy's idea of building the network first seems like a good one to me. Networks start small and eventually overlap into one network. |
